I'd rather like to work at an estate agents I think (if I ever work again that is and can do it within term times)

Smartest trousers and top that you have if you don't want to buy anything new,

Padded bra if you want to look like Sarah Beeny, Louboutins if you want to make a Kirstie Allsopp kind of impression. Good luck!

Gosh, you're tall! If you don't like your legs you'll probably want to cover them up, so obviously, we're going down the charcoal grey/black trouser suit route here. They're not particularly cheap, but go with someone like M&S or Next (both of whose clothings ranges wash well), and you should be able to mix and match items for the rest of the working week.

When you're at your interview, remember to look at what the other girls are wearing in the office, so you know what sort of things to buy if you're lucky enough to get the job.

AND GOOD LUCK WITH IT, by the way

thanks very much! i think i'd like some wide leg trousers as part of a suit. could i wear them with flats or would i have to go with heels?
i think maybe they might hve a uniform which is a bit rubbish as then wont even be able to wear my interview clothes at the job (when i get it!!!).
its only for a saturday sles negotiator but i've always fancied doing it and maybe if i get the job i could do more hours when littlest dc is at playschool next january..

I agree with smart trousers/trouser suit
smallish heels - anything smart really
Good luck

In which case, Mamatres, try to chose a trouser suit that will do for other occasions and which you can put in the wardrobe and forget about until you need it. Wide leg trousers are great, but probably not good with flats. I know where you're coming from ... haven't really worn heels for years, but wedges are great. They're comfortable, and you can wear them with anything. They don't need to be high, but just high enough to stop your wide legs skimming on the floor.
