Jo malone perfumes

Have pomegranate noir from the perfume parlour and it smells so like the original. My question is, what other Jo Malone perfumes are good? I am not fussed for overly sweet of fruity smells. Like musky smells best and really love pomegranate noir because it is so original. Thanks!

Frosted, I layer wood sage and salt with peony too! The woman helping me said she wears that when she's on holiday, it evokes the feeling of being on the amalfi coast apparently

Oud Rose and dark amber and ginger lily are my favourite. Don't last though which is disappointing

VetOnCall · 10/02/2018 22:36

The wood sage and sea salt is my favourite too, it's gorgeous. I hadn't thought about layering it, going to have to try that!

Myrrh and Tonka is amazing.

I get so many compliments on it. Especially doubled up with Neroli and Basil.

I just wished they lasted longer on the skin.

Sallystyle · 10/02/2018 22:49

I should add though, that the M&T lasts longer on me than any of the other scents.

I mostly wear Jo Malone. Pom Noir is my favourite, bit predictable, but...
Others have have and wear often include: Peony and Blush (probably too sweet for you), English Pear and Freesia (I love this one), Blackberry and Bay, Red Roses and Wild Bluebell.

None of them have great staying power, but the PP dupes do. And cost about a tenth of the JMs.

JMs are not complex perfumes (hence why layering works so well) so a lot of cheaper perfume houses can produce almost the same thing without the fancy boxes and ribbons.

I picked up a lime, basil and mandarin perfume at Christmas from Superdrug and it's amazing, just as good as the JM and cost £4.99

Wood sage and sea salt is my favourite btw.

ZacharyQuack · 10/02/2018 23:33

I love JM perfumes. I can never smell Wood Sage and Sea Salt on me, but I keep testing it so I can see what all the love is about!

I love Orange Blossom, Nectarine and Honey and Blue Agava and Cocoa (discontinued).

Some of the more musky/woody ones for you OP, Black Cedarwood and Juniper, 154 (lovely layered with Red Roses), Nutmeg and Ginger

I’m another Wood Sage & Sea Salt fan, also love Blackberry & Bay. Are the Perfume Parlour dupes really worth a go? They’re very cheap!

The candles that Aldi do are very good value, great scents and they last for ages.

Off the back of this thread I've just ordered a bunch of wee roll-ons from Perfume Parlour to give them a whirl... including the WS & SS ("men's" version... goodness knows why there are two different kinds but the spicier the better for me).

neveradullmoment99 · 11/02/2018 17:21

I absolutely love the perfume parlour. The JM pomegranate noir is identical and a fraction of the price. I cannot stop sniffing it and my dd said I smelt beautiful Grin
