WHY? ... Rant on clothes sizings!!

Why is it that branded clothes always come up smaller?

Why can't we just go into shops & buy our size? Not have to go up or down a size depending on the shop? I know that the styles make a difference but on almost identical items surely there should be some consistency?

Do men have this problem?

Anyway rant / million questions over.

yes, i have 10 s to 16 s in my wardrobe all of which fit well?!
dh walks into shops and buys trouser of the right size and lenght and if they don't fit .......the shop alter them!!
us girlies are supposed to alter our bodies to fit the clothes!

My male friends never seem to have problems!

My legs don't seem to be in proportion to my legs - I do wonder what I would look like with up to an extra 4" on my waist but nothing anywhere else!!

I have 10 to 14, small to large! Annoying.

Shoes are a pain too!
