I would go for second purely on price, as my dd will only keep hers on (christening gift) for a feew minutes then takes it off and we have nearly lost it a few times.

If its not worn, white gold will still look good years on but if it is worn it needs replating as the colour starts to go back to yellow.

Silver is softer and will tarnish, so it will need lots of cleaning.

Yes it will be worn all the time, I have just bought my dd2 the white gold one but I wanted to get my dd1 a new one too, just cant decide which one to get

Well if a child is wearing it all the time, I wouldnt get silver. It will get dented and squashed.

Go for white gold.
