What shoes do you like wearing with wide trousers (especially if you don't wear very high heels)?

Just that really. I'd like to wear wide trousers more but my legs aren't that long and I don't want to wear much of a heel at work, as I have to rush around a lot. I'm thinking maybe something a bit pointed, but am interested in other suggestions.

Pointed flats or trainers if casual - Stan Smiths or similar.

I know they are not popular on MN, but a kitten heel is a little more elegant than a flat. I like them with a flappy trouser.

I wear a lot of cropped wide trousers. In summer with white Stan Smiths, in winter with black brogues or black Stan Smiths. I also occasionally wear flat black Chelsea boots. (I wear fishnet or crocheted tights underneath at this time of year to stop chilly ankles, and don’t have to be smart-smart for work.)

I adore wide legs but I mostly wear them with brogues or (in summer) leather plimsolls. My legs aren't long but I think they look shorter in skinnies. However if platforms come back, as they often do with wide legs and flares, I'll be diving straight in. They're the only heels I like.

Brogues or ankle boots, with a one-inch heel.

Block heels, mid or high. I love them for the comfort. I'm a fan of wide leg trousers and they go well with them. I do think a narrow heel also goes well with trousers, looks quite stylish although I can't wear them. I don't like them with flats, it drains the style from outfit. Frumpy. Cropped wide leg trousers are nice with flats.

Block heels mean you can wear a higher heel than you usually would.

Thanks all... hmm, I will try my more solid heels! Have white Converse type shoes too, but I think of them as more summery.

My favourite flat shoes are from Jonak studded moccasins (that's what they called them but look more life loafers) they have a pointed toe I bought them in Paris they also have an online store.
