No no no expat don't give it away!

You have to wear tinfoil at all times, with feathers and cellophane, and the national footware (which is compulsory for admittance) is Crocs, but you MUST wear two different colours, for women it's candy pink and barf green.

Buy clothes over there.

Don't bother here. Warm weather clothes here are mostly crap and a rip-off.

expatinscotland · 29/04/2007 20:37

It's impossible not to shop there, because there are 'shops' all outside, whilst you're cruising around, on the way to a restaurant, peddling one of those cool sit down bikes, etc.

Porcupine · 29/04/2007 20:37

Not if you're buying cheapo tshirts, tank tops and sarongs, ggirl .

I brought my own shorts, though.

And beach sandals.

I was coming from a hot climate, though, so I had a lot of good gear.

And that was back when I could wear sundresses in public and feel great about it .

brimfull · 29/04/2007 20:45

god ,we used to fly to nyc to get clothes, triminghams the dept store was like being in an episode of "are you being served"

expatinscotland · 29/04/2007 21:06

I bought some cheapo stuff there last time I was there.

But in truth I did have most of my stuff from Houston.

But I find British warm weather clothes pretty bad.
