Majirel hair colours- how do I know which one to use?

I have been dyeing my hair for years as I started going grey in my early twenties. My natural hair colour is very black, but I stopped going black in my early forties as it was ageing me.
I'm now an ashy blonde, which really suits my fair skin, but my original black hair tends to go gingery rather than blonde. I have used a purple shampoo but it doesn't make much difference.
I've been using nice and easy lightest ash blonde which is ok but I've been reading lots of good things about majirel on here.
I don't want to go to a hairdresser to get colour-matched - do I just pick the lightest ash blonde one that's available on amazon? And do I need to buy a separate developer?
TIA

Yes. You do need a separate developer. 20 volume should be ok. Look at Capital hair and Beauty or Sallys. I would buy from a professional retailer rather than Amazon as you never know what your getting from Amazon.
