Aigle wellies

Time for a new pair of wellies and I have decided on Aigle but I have a few questions. How do they stack up against seasalt type wellies (I've had a few issues)? I plan on wearing them at least once a week to give you an idea of wear. How is the sizing? I am a size 40 in most shoes. Can I buy my usual size or do they run big/small? Any other thoughts?

I think I have had mine for 20 years, regularly worn and extremely comfortable as the legs are quite flexible and not big and droopy. Every winter when I get them out I'm astonished that they have no defects at all. Worth every penny.

My brother bought me some 15 years ago they are still going strong. He worked in Farlows (the fishing/shooting) shop when he was young and he said they are "proper" wellies not a fashion statement. Can't fault them really.

I have bright cheery red, fleece lined Aigle wellies and I really adore them. They are very warm and comfortable for dog walking.

My dh has Aigle wellies and he loves them I have some hunter wellies and I hate them! They give me the worse blisters and have fallen apart inside. We brought them at the same time his are still going strong. He wears his every day and I wear my as little as possible as they are so shit! Sad

Glitter, I wonder why there’s such a discrepancy in quality? I wouldn’t purchase then again.

GlitterRollerSkate · 01/02/2018 17:40

SukiTheDog For the price of mine i really did expect better. I got a pair from a farming supply shop for a tenner and they are still going just horribly stained. They must be at least 10 years old but are cold. Decided to treat myself to some decent work wellies and I am utterly disappointed. I wouldn't recommend Hunter wellies at all. Someone told me that they are no longer produced in the UK so perhaps that has something to do with It?

I have aigle parcours iso ones with neoprene lining. Wear them for two dog walks every day from Oct-Mar for perhaps 3.5yrs. They are perfect, no sign of wear or tear on them at all. Probably do about 4/5 miles per day in them.
Do come up big though, I wear two pairs of socks in them.

Ha! Totally misread the title of this thread as "agile willies" 🤣

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 01/02/2018 18:08

Do they come up big? 🤣
(Sorry I'll stop)

I have Barbour wellies which are great. Had Joules wellies and they split

@smiledwiththerisingsun oh my! Grin

i love my aigle parcours- warm, comfortable, lovely dry feet.

now in their 3rd year, wear them loads-dog walking etc and last year wore them instead of my hiking boots for a week long walking holiday in snow and slush- no blisters and they are still good as new (except a bit mucky as i dont clean them properly) Blush

worth every penny

previously had all types- got blisters, cold feet, and none lasted long

I have these Aigle's from decathlon...they are the holy grail of wellies. No neoprene lining, but lighter for walking in. I bought a pair of memory foam insoles and I could walk a marathon in them...best ever and no sock slippage with the insoles. £42.99 bargain.
