Flexitol for keratosis pilaris (chicken skin)

I've got KP down both thighs and lower legs and it really bothers me. I've read lots about how flexitol can help and thought I'd give it go. I just wondered how long it was before people saw results and how often you apply it. It's so thick that it's not ideal putting it on before dressing in the morning but I don't know if once per day will be enough. Any ideas or other suggestions for what might improve it? I want to start now so it's hopefully improved before the summer!

Didn't help mine, at all.

Moving out of a hard water area fixed it for me within weeks, though. The downside is that the hair has grown back on my forearms!

Going paleo cured mine

Ameliorate cream - google it. I think Space NK and Harvey Nicks do it.
Sorry I can't do links.

M and S do Ameliorate cream, that's my not very clear link above. Best thing ever - and I tried a lot of things not just Flexitol.

Low carb diet cured mine. Took a good while to come back once I reintroduced carbs too

Ameliorate is amazing!

I've just remembered I have a voucher for m&s so going to use it to try ameliorate. I'm not sure the flexitol is having much of an effect other than making my skin very soft. I do have some very roght skin on knees and ankles which is definitely improving. The KP, I'm not so sure.

Ameliorate here too. I got a sample in the M&S advent and have re purchased the full size. I started off using it twice a day and now only need to use it every other day. My 48 year old skin as never looked better. A little goes a long way and its really easy to apply. Not sticky.
