Ballet Pumps

I've been searching in vain for a comfortable pair of ballet pumps ... it must be my odd feet! Has anyone tried French Sole? Are they worth it and what's the best colour for summer cos at that price I won't be buying multiple pairs! Was thinking of silver but don't want a really glitzy bright silver or maybe red but perhaps that's a bit naff? Saw a comfortable pair in Dune the other day but didn't buy them and refuse to pay a £10 delivery charge as a matter of principle!!

I bought a pair of pretty metallic pale pink ones yesterday from Brantano for 20 quid and was amazed by the great selection of pumps they've got - very pretty and very fashionable.

these are really, really comfortable

I don't think we have a Brantano in our neck of the woods Lucie. The M&S shoes look lovely - I did look in Marks but couldn't see anything I liked so obviously missed those.

Thanks Lostinfrance ... I'll have a look there tomorrow.

Meantime, does anyone own a pair of French Sole pumps?

Don't know about french sole, but I just bought a lovely pair in Matalan for a tenner, siler and black, extremely comfortable.

i'm saving up for some french sole ones. they're fab looking and seem a nicer shape than the high st ones.

lunavix · 30/04/2007 18:45

I've tried all of them, best are river island. Well worth £25

I bought some beautiful ones in suede from Hobbs in a moment of pregnant madness (my feet where the only thing that didn't expand horribly so I spent loads of cash on fab shoes to cheer myself up during the loooong last 3 months!) and have to say they are gorgeous and comfy and going strong 3 years on.

They come in fab colours too. However, they do cost about £50 a throw (eep!) so wait for the sales....
