How do you style it differently for an evening event? Mine is closer to chin that shoulder, so I feel like I can’t curl/ wave it as it jumps up too much. And there’s not loads of it for an up-do.

Any ideas?

For background info, my hair is fine, straight and blonde

I use salt spray and muss it up a lot!

Twirly bits with hair straighteners

Waves with a GHD/wand. Key is to start the wave halfway down the length of the hair, that way it won't bounce up around your head (I learned this the hard way). Search for videos on youtube.

Another option is to pin your hair up in a semi-messy fashion but I have yet to master this :D

Ooooh great help, thank you!

I have a wand and will definitely be trying this!

Not sure I can master the salt spray or pinning without looking like a scarecrow. Grin

Sounds exactly like my hair. Fine, blonde and straight. I have tried to put some waves in it but I just look like I’ve just got out of bed...

I sometimes use decorative grips and clips - I’ve got some really pretty diamanté ones and wear two on one side to sort of sweep my hair up.

Yes, exactly Sidge!
