what to wear to a golden wedding lunch party

80 people at a nice hotel
invitation says casual

jeans totally unsuitable
any ideas?

I'd wear a dress.
I'd read 'casual' as not needing a formal jacket - cardi would be fine for example, and that, if you are bringing children, not to worry about getting them anything fancy.
But I'd still wear a dress.

A nice wrap dress with a cardigan or jacket. Pretty jewellery. Have a lovely time.
