Long padded coats

I'm so fed up of freezing on my commute to work (freezing train stations in Scotland!) that I've been in the look out for a long padded coat. Tried about a million on (I'm fussy but also stress about buying the wrong thing 😬)
Anyway I like the look of the joules navy Caldecott coat. But now I've just seen a similar one in monsoon in the sale- it's the alexis long coat.
Does anyone have this coat? Any opinions? I know you'll all say if you like it buy it and my husband says the same every day but I am useless- I stress about everything....money, buying wrong things, looking silly!
So tell me your thoughts on both coats please?

I don't think the Rhinegold coat is waterproof
If it was it would be a great coat at a great price.

Another recommendation for Esprit! I'm on my second one now (the first one is still in good condition, but I use it for dog walks now so it's covered in mud) and they're so warm.

I bought this two years ago and love it , warm and a bit sexy in my opinion!
