What I’m wearing today

When I first came across the S&B board, this was my favourite kind of thread, so I wanted to start a new one.

Today was a work day, so I am wearing:
The “Huxley” cable jumper from Jack Wills, in emerald.
Blue high waisted skinny jeans,
Tan imperial explorers from Fairfax & Favor,
Navy ariat fleece & my favourite pony skin belt that’s a light tan cow print.
Bare face; pony tail.

I had great plans to debut my burgundy Hush leather leggings (a steal at £100 in their sample sale) with a cream v-neck oversized cashmere jumper that I bought from Uniqlo yesterday, and either my battered old biker boots or black snakeskin Converse to keep it more casual.

However I woke up with the most awful sinus headache and am currently in bed in old Primarni pyjama bottoms, a Gap maternity top (I'm not even pregnant) and thick socks.

Ho hum...

Outfit change here. Ds just sucked in me.

Change jumper for denim shirt and one of dh’s hoodies.

Finally dragged myself out of the house for some meetings. Blue jeans, Boden breton top, pearls and biker boots. Seasalt Folly top in place of the usual blazer because it’s cacking freezing.

Yesterday was a very casual day:

Blue skinnies
Imperial explorers
All I had to do yesterday was walk the dogs so “nice” clothes seem a bit wasted on days like that.

Today I wore:
“Elvington” tea dress from Jack Wills,
Grey cable knit cardi from Jack Wills,
black tights and black patent pumps from Topshop, they’re strappy with bows and I just love ‘em!

Trying to plan tomorrow’s outfit, maybe a “skirt and shirt” combo, but I’ll wait and see how I’m feeling when I get up/how cold it is...

Judy your outfit sounds fab would loved to have seen a photo.

I have a walk in wardrobe and it is full .....being a yo yo dieter only about a 1/3 of it fits me at any one time.
I would love Iris' wardrobe too...mine is full of bargain/cheap stuff.

Today’s ensemble:

• chestnut uggs classics - now my go to indoor shoe. They are so much warmer than my slippers!!
• fleece lined tights - new look I think
• white long line cami - new look
• burgundy shirt dress - warehouse
• (shrunk in the dryer - thanks dh!) cable knit cardigan - fat face.

We’re planning a day of tidying sorting etc before the big house move in March. I may pop to the post office and pop in to see Dm with ds. If I venture outside (in the cold and the rain) I’ll switch the uggs for black suede slouch boots from dune.

I’m loving how this thread has inspired me to dress up a bit. Even if it’s a casual stay at home day.

SansaryaAgain poor you not being able to wear your new leathers , I hope that you feel better soon.

Jones biscuit suede high heeled knee high boots.

M&S chocolate brown cotton rich tights.

Mulberry beige leather handbag.

@IrisApfelRocks I can ALWAYS find something I like in Jack Wills, and their shirts and dresses aren’t that horrible thin, clingy material. Definitely made to last!

It is raining cats and dogs here today, it just won’t stop!

@crazyspaniellady I am partial to a bit of jack wills but I hate the cost! That said I’m in Channel Islands and they automatically knock 20% off as we don’t pay VAT here. And they do very good sales. And super comfy joggers.

I’ve just had a look on eBay and have won a quilted coat (£5! Bargain and perfect for walks and drier days at the stables!), and am bidding on a couple of dresses.

I love the quality of the clothes. I had a cricket jumper from there ages ago. Lovely and slouchy and beautiful. Until dh washed it. And it grew. He usually shrinks things so no idea how he did that.

@ememem84 I never buy anything from Jack Wills at full price, their sales are so good and there’s always some sort of promotion/student discount to be had. The wool trench I had on last week was originally £198 and I got it for £54 or there abouts. I feel places like that are so under rated these days with trends changing so often, and online retailers like missguided and such churning out cheap clothes that last about a month. I have such a personal issue with “disposable fashion”. I feel like a bit of a trend grinch (not envy)

Sage green cashmere jumper so old I can't remember where it's from
Navy infinity scarf - gift from my Mum.
Giant grey puffy coat over the top.

At work I wore hush back and orange print dress, black tights, black heeled boots

Now I am home wearing dungarees and long sleeved jersey t-shirt, ugg slippers

and my red Chelsea Parka by Canada Goose, with the Hunter top-clip rubberised leather backpack in pink. It keep my laptop/notes dry, and there’s 2 side pockets, one for coffee, one for water.

It’s been almost hurricane-esque here today. Cant wait to get home, put my pyjamas on and climb under a blanket.

In the office today, but no meetings, so pretty casual:
