I always wear suede ankle boots with tights but went for something a bit more hardy this time and they are taking some getting used to.

Do they look ok?

I have the skinny ankle issue too. Boots that are lower at the top (might be described as booties when searching for them) look good with opaques and dresses/skirts. They finish around or below your ankle bone rather than above the ankle like your's do. With slim ankles and proper ankle boots, you need the jeans to add some bulk and fill the tops out. With skinny jeans they'll look good.

You have very nice shaped legs and ankles. The boots are good. It's just together with only tights, they're not getting on.

Though pp might be right and a more fitting shorter skirt could work,

I like the boots I just think you have skinny ankles and so they look clumpy with a skirt .

Another one worried about the skirt also but then I basically dress like a grungy teenage nerd so what do I know 😂

Dune do some nice leather ankle boots which are slimmer and more elegant. Have a look there?

I think the chunky boots were fine and it was the skirt that didn't really match - the two styles don't go. But love the boots!

They are fine with skinnies

It is hard to wear ankle boots with a skirt when you have slim ankles

I can only wear my ankle boots with skinnies, and stick with trainers or kneehigh boots for skirts and dresses

It used to actually be a good thing to have a "well turned ankle" but does not work with todays fashion
