Anyone have experience of Vivienne Westwood clothes sizing?

I know a lot of designers cut small but I have heard that VW is very generous. Does anyone have experience of how her stuff generally fits?

I am and 8-10 on top ( looking at jackets/coats) depending on the brand.
I did try a coat on in TK Maxx, I think it was labeled as a 10on the hanger but was massive on me ( the hanger might have been wrong, I didn't take that much notice, was just sad it didn't fit!).
I am pretty straight up and down.

I think it varies by garment but yes, I think the cut is generous (she definitely allows for hips/boobs). I find it best to look at what size the model is wearing and use that as my guide - I'm always one size bigger than whatever the model has on..

thanks irene since I have neither then I should possible stick to the size 8 or equivalent.

I have a jacket and two of her trousers. I'm normally size 8-10 and the jacket is an Italian 42 which I believe makes it a UK10 but I'll stand corrected if anyone is more familiar with their sizing. It's a very fitted shape and pretty much spot on, size wise. The trousers are a 40 and a 38 so presumably 8 and a 6. That surprises me (in fact the 6 astonishes me!) - as I'd expect to take a larger size in trousers but they're both high in the waist and loose on the thigh and I imagine I might need a bigger size if they were more fitted on the leg. Not sure if that helps or not!

Ah, thank you, there are some gorgeous coats on eBay. The last thing I need is another coat, seriously, but I am slightly haunted by the one I tried on in TK maxx a few weeks ago. Even though it was too big is was an amazing, quality piece of clothing and so beautifully designed. I wanted it really badly
