10 YO DD was in tears this morning because one of her best friends 'kindly' pointed out that she has a very spotty forehead. She doesn't, but she does have a somewhat rugged surface to her skin, almost like keratosis pilaris, which she does have on her arms. Obviously I have had the chat with her about kindness and resilience but I am going to take her shopping later for her own skin products. I thought a face wash and a light moisturising lotion. What brands would you recommend that are mild, fragance free and don't wreck havoc with her developing complexion?

My daughter gets a few little spots around her nose which she is terribly self conscious about (they have also been pointed out by classmates - aren't children lovely Hmm). I try to encourage her to cleanse daily with Simple cleanser and moisturise. She usually uses Simple moisturiser too but we have tried a Burts Bees anti-blemish moisturiser when I was on special offer which she really loves. It is expensive though. She ocassionally lies in the bath with a face mask on. We use a clay based mask but be sure to moisturise afterwards as they are drying. And if she has a bad spot she dots it with T trea oil.
