Where can I find a specialist waxing salon in London?

Some time ago on MN someone suggested going to a waxing only salon is better than going to a normal beauty salon for intimate waxes. I might try this.
I usually go to a local salon, unfortunately most of them deliver mediocre service at best when it comes to intimate waxing.

Could anyone recommend a good waxing only salon in central London? I don't live in London so I'm looking for a really good salon that would make the journey to London worth my wile.
Thank you.

P.S. The second nearest location would be Oxford.

@allthecheese

I like Strip Wax bar

Thank you. How much do you pay for a Brazilian or a Hollywood?
There is no price list on their website.
Or I may give them a ring tomorrow.

www.otyliaroberts.co.uk/team.html

I went here for years. Highly recommend. Sadly I live too far away now.

£55 for a Hollywood at Strip so a little less for Brazilian maybe.

Sparklyuggs · 30/12/2017 07:57

I second Strip Wax Bars.

When I moved out of London, I looked for salons who offered Lycon wax, the same as Strip. Could be an option in Oxford?

There's an element of getting what you pay for. I'd be dubious of a £10 Hollywood wax!

Thanks for the information everyone. I'll check them all out.

Woah! Waxes are £15 "oop North" .. they just rip your hair out at the root - how much do a difference can be made?! ShockSmile

CantChoose · 31/12/2017 08:06

A friend of mine used to use one in Pimlico that she absolutely swore by but I can't think of the name. Not helpful, sorry. It was run by a Brazilian lady so if you come across something similar it could be that one!!

Ministry of Waxing in South Molton Street, just down from Bond Street tube. It's the first place I went to to have a Brazilian and the first time I had had the Lycon wax. Not painless, but certainly less pain than having a strip wax. The girls there are used to doing intimate waxes so embarrassment levels are low as well! I used to go there a few years ago before finding my local salon in Kent.

blue the money can make all the difference between somewhere that is medical grade hygienic and somewhere that's just clean. Even very nice salons I've been too have double dipped and one even had me lie on a sheepskin germ trap rug.

blue2014 · 31/12/2017 15:44

Urggh- sheep skin rug sounds grim! Envy

Mine probably haven't been medical grade clean but definitely clean - I've never had the fanjo lurgy from them anyway 😊

Don't bother anymore anyway, can't be bothered.
