14 hole doc martens ! Ideas of what to wear with them plse?

One of my Christmas presents was the above ! I absolutely love them but need suggestions for what outfits to wear with them please ?

Oooh! I'd team these with a short kilt or denim skirt and black opaque tights. Very cool!

Anything really! Skinny jeans, black leggings, dresses (tartan short jumper dresses work really well!)

Over Xmas, I wore mine with a checked shirt dress, thick, plain tights and my new favourite item, a navy wool coat.

I think they look good with shorts, cut offs and smarter wool ones, and a shorter jacket. I've gone off short denim skirts (on me) a bit, but I second the kilt suggestion.

I don't feel quite right wearing mine with jeans, but mine are 20 holes, so that might be why.

Do yours have zips, OP? I'd wear mine a bit more if they did!

Tarquin, I am 50 odd and have with much deliberation (and help on here!) bought my first pair of dms. Since I haven't worn anything else since they arrived I will soon be getting more! Had loads of people complimenting them too! Just go for it....

I wish people wouldn’t think they’re “too old” for stuff. Or “too” anything 😔

I am tempted - although I’ve just embarked on a no-spend January after the excesses of December.
I shall earmark them as my next purchase.
Not sure why I’m worried about how I’ll look as one of the good things about getting older is that I generally don’t care what others think!

I should add I do own half a dozen pairs of docs already...

Love your boots, they really suit you.

DMs are the very best. Skinnies, leggings, shift dresses, short skirts - they go with everything are are so smart and comfortable. I wear my DM boots almost everyday for work and at weekends.
