Bent acrylic nail back and lifted real nail from bed! Anything more than taping up needed?

Ouch, new acrylic nails this week, managed to bend one back and the nail has come away. The finger is hot to touch, very sore with a little bleeding.

I’ve used a plaster to cover it but is there any thing else I can do!

Carefully cut or file the down as far as you can (PITA I know) or you could catch it more. Try and clean it as much as possible. I wouldn't advise trying to remove the remaining acrylic on that nail as that could cause it to get infected and be very painful if you try using acetone remover. Keep a plaster on it unti the break grows out past the nail bed then cut / file back down.

Thank you, although the idea of filling it down at the minute makes me want to vomit. I think I’ll wait a little while and let the pain die down first!

Ouch that really hurt Shock

Ouch. If you can get someone to help you can very carefully clip away the length whilst holding it together then it’s just a case of keeping it clean and wrapped until the skin heals enough to look at repair or removal in a week or two.

Thank you. I’m having a couple of glasses of wine and then I’ll give it a go
