Why isn't there a patch of skin on the back of my hand in mint condition?

Can you describe skin as being in mint condition? Anyway, it just occurred to me tonight that I've spent 30 odd years putting moisturisers/face masks/any manner of lotions and potions on the back of my hand, preparatory to slapping it on my face. By rights, I should have a patch roughly the size of a 10p looking as smooth as a baby's bottom. Not seeing it sadly ...

Sorry for pointless musings.

Ha ha. Me too. My hands are fucked really, so dry, wrinkly and horrible, my face in the other hand is ok!

ReallyPaddy · 21/12/2017 22:28

You're doing better than me then Buster if your face is doing ok! I have shit hands and a crap face! Should have spent all the money I've used for face products on maltesers :)

I do have a portion of totally smooth and flawless skin on my hand.
The size of a 50p piece.Grin
I make sure to gesture incorporating that teeny tiny section.
Thumbs up is good. ;)

Ha ha Really I think I'm just lucky with my face as I slather on thick creams, most of the time just Astral or Nivea soft. I think my secret is to very rarely wash it. I use a cream cleanser rather than a face wash!

Have you really Rose? Excellent idea to showcase it at every opportunity. How do people react when they go in for a handshake and get a thumbs up instead?

Buster (love your name by the way) thank you for sharing your secrets. Thirty years earlier and I might have been in with a chance ... :)

Really I'm sure your face is just lovely, if in doubt pop on a thick THICK layer of Nivea blue, eat 500grams of malteasers and watch a Christmas movie, I'm sure after all of that you'll be feeling proper dapper!

I did a thread about this last year. My hands are horrific but not down to lack of due diligence and wasted hours of hand maintenance.
They are skinny, skinny, skinny with no visible flesh whatsoever. I have paper-thin skin where every bone, vein and tendon are highly visible. They also hurt like fuck.
I still make an effort but it is wasted really; ironically, I have lovely nails.
My face is fine but then again I have been a Botoxing, Juvederming and thread-lifting up a storm since my late 30's. I've stopped it all now though and am enjoying crinkly eyes - they look like they should at 46 but the hands are still cursedly mummified.

Really
They are actually fine with the thumbs up.
They too, are excited for the tiny patch of skin.
Gives them hope too...
