Keratin straightening / brazilian blow dry etc

Help!

I'm thinking about having one of these treatments done but I don't know which one. Any advice please? Local to me I can easily get Goldwell Kerasilk straightening or L'Oreal Xtenso moisturist (which sounds better I think?). I've also read about the home brazilian blow dry kits you can buy on Amazon. Obviously these are loads cheaper. Is it really easy to do at home? What's the worst case scenario if I somehow manage to get it wrong? Any disaster stories appreciated. I don't mind if it just doesn't work but I wouldn't be too happy if all my hair fell out or (somehow) became even more frizzy and difficult to manage.

Also - I'm pregnant (26 weeks). Does anyone know if these treatments are ok during pregnancy? As far as I understand it none of them now contain formaldehyde etc.

Thoughts and experiences appreciated, thanks!

The ketatin kit is great and easy. I don’t think you can use in pregnancy tho. Do a search for more info as it’s been discussed a lot on here before (like weekly)!

They don't contain formaldehyde but they do contain a chemical which creates formaldehyde when heated.

I don't think they contain enough to cause any damage if used sparingly and in well ventilated areas. I've used them before myself and would use one again if I was going somewhere humid but using them in pregnancy probably isn't a good idea.
