I'm having my nails done on Monday and want something really lovely for Christmas.

Any ideas?

(I'm not into fancy faff designs !)

I like the cranberry autograph shade. Very Nice.

Thanks Whisky when I've actually done it in myself I'll post a picture. It's such a pretty shade that sparkles different colours iyswim!

Currently navy with sparkly top coat.

I might change to red and sparkly next week.

Deep red fake Shellac done on Thursday. Normally have a bit of glitter but couldn't get a slot at my normal salon as I wasn't organised enough. Nice and classic though, am very pleased Smile

I have been using Bobbi Brown wine colour in December. It chips quite easily though.

Mine are silver glitter. They are very very sparkly. I never have glitter at any other time of year and am not the glittery type at all (almost always go for nude or grey nails) but I love Christmas glittery nails!

donners312 · 17/12/2017 21:08

Ive had rose gold glitter they look really lovely but am getting them don again this week so will go for navy glitter if she has otherwise just red/

I love the ideas here.
I always have fairly long French tips with a glitter shellac topcoat. In a square shape.
My regular lady was off when I last had them done, and the lady who done them convinced me to go for something festive for a change. And I decided I want a different shape as well.
So I'm leaving it up to my regular technician do whatever she thinks will suit me after she's fallen off her chair when I tell her I'm having a colour not French and a different shape. (I like the sound of glittery red, but also various shades of blue with a white design).
So excited for my appointment on Friday to see what she gives me

It's a toss up between silver, gold or red glitter! Definitely got to be glittery though. It's the only time of year I'd do glitter!

I've had ruby red glitter shellac in for the past two weeks. Going in Wednesday to have something else glittery! Probably gold as I have a wedding just after Christmas and am wearing gold and black.

Your nails are all so long.

My beautician files mine down to nothing Envy

sausagerollsrock · 18/12/2017 15:20

annabelle does she not ask you about length/shape?
Just say before she starts that you want them left a bit longer.

Annabelle4 · 18/12/2017 16:17

Yes, I will say it the next time. She files and clips them
