Do you wear light-coloured bags on S/S and dark on A/W?

Just that really. I only have dark (mostly black) bags and thinking if it's worth it to pick up a light bag during the post-Christmas sales.

I used to but only because I had the same bag in two colours and I’m far too lazy to swap them on a regular basis.

Yes. I use a black bag in the winter and coloured bags in the summer. I mainly use a navy leather bag in the summer but I have tan leather, cream leather & a bright pink bucket bag.

I don't like very pale-coloured bags but I used a khaki Coach bag most of last summer along with a blue Cloud bag from the Cambridge Satchel Company. I'm currently alternating 2 black bags!

I'd never thought about it but yes, I never use a black leather bag in the summer. If I'm wearing black I'd take a coloured or black cotton/canvas bag 🤔

Abra1d · 16/12/2017 08:32

I never use black bags outside funerals. If I’m wearing dark clothes I like a pop of colour or brown/tan/grey.

TroysMammy · 16/12/2017 08:33

I use whatever coloured bag I fancy and to match with accessories. Winter is too dark and gloomy so if I'm wearing a bright pink scarf, I'll use my bright pink bag, same goes for the red.

TillyVonMilly · 16/12/2017 08:42

Yes. Not necessarily black though, I’m using a mid grey bag at the moment.

Yes, I am using a black bag but will change to a lighter colour in the summer. I've seen some nice light pink ones in the shops which look summery to me. I usually have a cream colour in warmer months but may treat myself to a pink one next year.

CountFosco · 16/12/2017 09:55

Ish. I am still using my bright blue bag from last summer though and interchange it with darker bags. And my work bag is burgundy all year round (if ever there was an excuse to buy a new bag...)

SukiTheDog · 16/12/2017 09:58

No. I have a brown leather bucket bag, sort of deep chestnut colour. All year round. I know people who’ll change bags with clothing, 2 or 3 times a week. I couldn’t be bothered.

AnaViaSalamanca · 16/12/2017 11:30

No, I have heard this from a few people, but actually find this "rule" quite odd. I actually pick up more colorful bags in winter, because the rest of my clothes are quite drab.

StiltonForDays · 16/12/2017 11:36

Sort of.

I alternate between various black bags and a beige-ish/camel bag in AW. I tend to alternate between 3 or 4 decent quality bags.

I ditch the black for tan and metallics in SS, and usually buy a couple of new cheapies each year.

I dont 'do' bright or colourful bags at all, though.
