Best product for sore lips

I have tried so many things over the years- I can’t bear things that tingle when they go on (carmex/blistex etc), don’t like tins which are difficult to open (Vaseline intensive) and although Elizabeth Arden (8h) is good, it smells funny! EOS has been pretty good to be honest (the pink one as the green one was a bit stingy) but I have just re-discovered this and think it’s fab. I bought it for chapped hands and it was really too thick for that, but is fab for lips. Not stingy-just right!

I also get very dry lips this time of year, and coincidentally got a lip balm in my advent calendar today! It's the l'occitane ultra rich one and seems very nice (after one day's use anyway). Not sure of the price for a normal sized tube though.

I'm now wondering if my Nuxe little pot lip balm has partly solidified into particles as a result off how long I've had it :). Its still working anyway!

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturing Ointment is my everything product. It has a texture like vaseline but it heals and moisturises as well as protects.

This: www.boots.com/okeeffes-lip-repair-unscented-10237718?cm_mmc=bmm--Google+Boots+PLAs--BAU--C=%28GB%3AWhoop%21%29+Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Beauty+-+Mobile%28GB%3AWhoop%21%29+OKEEFFES&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgs7RBRDoARIsANOo-Hh5n8G5XxOJELycbDtT3Nge1sgiwTIbviDuEc6pu-oFMTlulPm70fgaAiW_EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds is brilliant. I have had awful chapped lips through pregnancy and since giving birth for a few weeks and having tried every lip balm on the high street, this sorted them out immediately. I tried to avoid buying it due to the picture of horrible chapped lips on the packaging but it’s great and good value too.

I hate MLM's but MIL was lured in by a friend at a fete and picked DS2 some Forever Aloe lip balms up as she knows he gets quite chapped lips and they are genuinely amazing. Nothing else touches his redness around his mouth during winter aside from steroids, but two days of these and it's almost cleared.

I may have tried far too many every products in my quest to calm cracked lips...
Paw paw is fairly good. I'd also rate keihls, nuxe and lanolips (lemon one for every day, original for really bad days).

Another vote for burts bees.

I can imagine o’keefes would work.
Their hand cream is fab.

If budget isn’t an issue I’d thoroughly recommend By Terry Baume de Rose. Amazing stuff.

Nightmanagerfan · 16/12/2017 12:27

Did you know that Elizabeth Arden do a fragrance free 8 hour cream? It’s amazing and does everything the other one does without the strong smell.

JaneBanks · 16/12/2017 14:18

Nipple cream!

Aquaphor. I found it recommended for people taking Roaccutane which dries all the moisture from your body and your lips are destroyed. This was the only product that actually worked.
