Benefit makeup

I was planning to buy my sister some makeup as part of her christmas present (before the main present arrives which will be after Christmas). I don't normally wear makeup, but when I do I use some benefit stuff which someone got me aaaages ago and which I really like. So I was going to pick some for her but... the whole makeup counter was crowded with teens, which made me wonder whether maybe the target market for benefit stuff is much younger these days and that had somehow passed me by... so - if you were in your early thirties and liked occasionally wearing makeup would you be happy to receive benefit stuff? And if not, what other brands would you prefer...

Hi Lemonshark, I shared your reservations and was hesitant, but Marcia Kilgore has a good track record with Soap & Glory, Bliss and FitFlop. That said, I waited for skin care and reviews before I ventured in. The Super Healthy moisturiser suits my normal but 60-year-old skin better than anything in Boots or M&S, and I needed new brushes. I don't wear foundation often enough to have an opinion on the ranges available across the whole market so stick to a Japanese product I've used for years, but every day, without base, the translucent compact One Powder subtly blurs and improves my face without looking caked so now I have one at home and one in my bag. Enough with the testimonial, though! I also like Benefit and UD.

34 here, and I love some benefit stuff, but some of it is rubbish.

Hate their foundation, love their bronzer and brow products Smile
