Who does good basic leggings that don't cost loads?

.. I used to get the m and s wide waistband ones at a tenner and if ever the phrase 'if it aint broke don't fix it' applied it is here.

They have replaced their basic ones with horrible short ones that aren't the same.

Who does decent black leggings these days? I'm a size 12-14, big tummy but ok legs, since having my kids I live in leggings and dresses or tunics so need to find a new supplier as they are the basis of half my wardrobe!

Don't really want to pay more than £10-£12 a pair.

Thanks everyone. I've ordered the mint velvet ones as they sound really nice, but there is a sainsbo's near me to so I will try the TU ones - I've tried the two pairs for a tenner type but they are a bit thin, and i didn't like the way it cut into my (rather large) mum tum... maybe the more expensive ones will be better.

I'll see what the MV ones are like first though. Bit more than I wanted to spend but as I live in leggings come rain or shine I suppose they are a second skin for me so important to get it right!

What's wrong with leggings and tunics ?

SleepFreeZone · 11/12/2017 12:55

sparkle on Mumsnet it's frowned upon as it's considered 'mumsy' - read frumpy Hmm

I'm the same size as you Op and I have the m and S ones you have but also the Peacocks and Debenhams ones. I think the Peacocks ones are the most comfortable.

I love the Sainsbury's Premium ones, got black and navy ones, don't fade and keep their shape

NewPantsforaNewYear · 12/12/2017 15:52

The Peacock’s leggings have a really wide waistband, so they’re very comfortable and the fabric seems reasonably thick. I’ve just bought three pairs, as they had a good selection of colours, and I’m really pleased with them
