Is anyone selling bathrobes for teen girls/women that are cotton towelling fabric? And don't cost £50

Are there any mainstream shops selling them? I don't want to buy fleecey polyester. I want them to have robes that last for a few years. They seem to be thin on the ground. I can only find them on Amazon or internet shops I have never heard of and don't seem very secure. They don't have to be children's sizes. A 6 or 8 or xs would be fine.

I've just been doing the same search as you. I bought myself a lovely towelling dressing gown from John Lewis (white with pale grey spots) about 5 years ago, its great. My daughter, now 11, pinches it so when i come to use it out the shower its wet, grrr. Anyway, on her list is her own towelling dressing gown. Could I find one that would last her a few years that didn't cost £50? No. So i've ended up buying a plain white one (not ideal colour) from JL for £55 in the hope it will last her many years. Sorry, not much help but empathy!

Primark? They have loads of dressing gowns at this time of year.

Bobbins43 · 08/12/2017 19:47

I buy an M&S men's one. It's lovely! About £35 I think

dannydyerismydad · 08/12/2017 19:48

John Lewis have lovely ones.

But head to the bath towel department rather than night wear.

MumGoneMild · 08/12/2017 19:48

Yes! Ive been on the hunt for 3 years now.
I don't want a fleece, waffly or fluffy one.

Mines threadbare with holes now

Was just going to say, IKEA had gorgeous ones earlier this week

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 08/12/2017 19:54

Dunelm sell them in different colours, very cosy.

DoubleLottchen · 08/12/2017 19:55

They had white ones in Debenhams the other day in the women's section. Not sure how much they cost though.

La Redoute sell them in various plain colours - you have to look in the homeware rather than clothes section. They are internet only but fairly mainstream - I have never had any trouble buying online from them.

OhMyGoddd · 08/12/2017 19:58

Ikea have white ones.

SavoyCabbage · 08/12/2017 20:00

Yes Dunelm have them in all the colours of the rainbow.

coffeekittens · 08/12/2017 20:03

Definately ikea, they're amazing!

MsHomeSlice · 08/12/2017 20:07

Watch the dunelm ones....I have had my eye on them for years, and then decided that dh's manky fleece dressing gown was due a decent burial and thought we could have nice new bathrobes instead

Went to try them on and they were very skimpy in the size and length/sleeve length. Really disappointed as they were much better styled when I first spotted them.
The towelling is a decent weight though, so for a slim and not very tall person they could be okay.

Nanasueathome · 08/12/2017 20:07

White company have really nice ones and there’s usually a 15% discount code floating about

jelliedeel · 08/12/2017 20:33

Next....but is that £50 in UK?

Swatsup · 08/12/2017 20:34

I found some in white company a couple of years ago. Not expensive but that was in a sale.

jelliedeel · 08/12/2017 21:10

Oh, I've just ordered a white company one for XmasGrin at 20% off. I know the kids ones are great quality.

mummyhaschangedhername · 08/12/2017 22:18

Glad someone asked this. Been on the prowl since we bought our hot tub and not found any yet. Definitely be checking out all the mentioned. Hope you find something suitable OP.

notafish · 08/12/2017 23:52

Wow - thanks for the suggestions. I'll check Dunelm, La Redoute and Ikea. Mine is from BHS and is a few years old - white with a narrow pink stripe through it.It looks as goid as new. I exchanged it from some hideous lavender dressing gown in laws bought me. I never thought I'd miss BHS! Last year I bought a navy one from H&M for DH. That too was found after quite a hunt.
