Would love a big clutch not to heavy love the style of a box clutch

Don't get a clutch, get something with a strap.

That way you can have a glass of something in one hand and have the other hand free for canapes.

Lots of clutches have an optional strap.
I just got one from Next £15. Probably not boxy enough for you but good for a black dress and with a bit of sparkle.

I always use a clutch as a going out bag.
I love them and the one in the picture is gorgeous.
