Birchbox subscribers - would they appeal to a teenager?

I'm thinking about buying a few months subscription for my 16 year old but worried the contents are aimed more towards a maturer audience?

Gave DD2 a 6 month sub for her 17th birthday. She liked getting the chance to test different products and enjoyed the surprise each month. But they push you hard to buy more, which is tiresome

My little box has more wide ranging stuff but own brand in. I like birch but have got a bit bored after 14 months :) you can tailor to age though :)

Thanks. I'm probably just going to get 3 months to begin with so hopefully not enough time to get bored. Just hoping they will be products she will use.
