Dubarry type boots

I'm due my first baby in February and am looking for a pair of warm, waterproof, pref leather smartish boots for long, cold, probably wet pram walks but could go for a coffee, supermarket etc in them too. The price of Dubarrys seems to have rocketed so budget (£250 ish) won't stretch. Any recommendations of something similar in my price bracket, have been looking at Aigles, Ariat and maybe waterproof Uggs?

I have Ariat contours (smarter riding boots not so much generic country boots really) and I have the regular calf. My calves are suited to narrower styles but it might be the chunkier styles are wider. I can wear them with insulated heat holder socks but they are snug.

I like my Kanyon boots. They do one that look like dubarry galways and another that look like ariat grasmeres. £130ish. Wide of standard calf fitting

Jumping on your thread OP as been coveting Dubarry Clare's since we moved to the countryside last year !
But scared that I won't wear them enough for the price .
Been looking at Ugg waterproof bikers instead - will now look at some of these alternatives !

I know that this is going to bring a lot of MNers out in hives and you do have to ignore where they come from - but these Gore-Tex Hotter boots are genuinely brilliant.

Thanks all!
