Easy way to do eye make up

I don't find the YouTube tutorials very easy to follow and don't know what colours would suit me. Any tips or advice?

Does anyone have a link to the Jodie Marsh vid? Is it the “...best kept secret” one? I’d love to be able to do some proper eyeshadow makeup.
