They look so beautiful on the model, but I wonder just how useful it would be? Just a camisole underneath or a T shirt???

wraptop

Sorry to me, it looks like someone about to start karate or judo!

I had more of a cardigan type wrap from Boden last year and it was too short in the body for me.

deaconblue · 19/04/2007 11:34

LOL it does a bit doesn't it. Am trying to look for alternative to very unglamorous fleece zip ups I bung on if it gets a bit nippy.

FimCrocbo, you read my mind!

Hiiiiii yah!

babyonboard · 19/04/2007 11:40

Really nice, but quite dark colours considering it's almost summer!

fishie · 19/04/2007 11:42

i think it would hang badly, linen usually better in a more structured cut. and alarm bells ring when they show it on a wooden thingy not even a lovely model.

gap good for this sort of thing usually.

deaconblue · 19/04/2007 11:42

all my stuff is white, black or brown though. Maybe that's what I should be focusing on - must get summer colours

Try Zara and H&M for fine knit wrap cardies, they are really lovely and versatile, and warmer than you might think!
I've got three in white, turquoise and black and love them as you can just sling them on over anything and they never look frumpy, so good over jeans and a tee in the park etc or equally over a dress on a night out.
I've also got a brilliant zip up jacket from uniqlo which is fleece lined, but silk/cotton mix on the outside. It's really well fitted too, so practical and stylish (the holy grail for mothers, surely!)

MrsBadger · 19/04/2007 12:22

fishie it is knitted, not stiff woven linen, so would probably hang quite well

TeeCee · 19/04/2007 12:25

Ohh NO, can't believe I clicked on it, another farking Boden link.
What is it with mumsnetters and that stuff?
If you all met up together for a picnic or something how would you know who you were?!!!

ViscountessPetitLapin · 19/04/2007 12:25

Co we would all be wearing Boden of course, TeeCee!

TeeCee · 19/04/2007 12:26

And it's £60 for a plain lookign wrap top. Nothing special aboit it at all, it's just got a Boden label in it.

Boden Schmoden!

TeeCee · 19/04/2007 12:26

Exactly you'd all be wearing the same so who would you know who you were??!!!!!

deaconblue · 19/04/2007 12:53

I only possess one Boden item though, so unless I turned up at the picnic in my wrap dress (looking hideously overdressed and inappropriate) I would still be ok I think.

oh i loovvvvve that top. may have to buy it- its been sitting in my 'virtual shopping basket' for aa few weeks now!

mamatres · 19/04/2007 13:11

oh, and i have seen someone wearing it- and it looked nice- so there all you boden haters!

SoupDragon · 19/04/2007 13:13

Better off with this

SoupDragon · 19/04/2007 13:14

Nicer colours and half the price!

deaconblue · 19/04/2007 13:15

That's pretty soupdragon, and much better price too. Seem to have started whole Boden hating thing with my wrap Q. I only own one Boden item as well

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/04/2007 13:18

I'm pleased to say I have no Boden items, nor do my 3 children I have nothing against them except they seem over priced and nothig special.
