I am size 14 with a post baby muffin top. Am going to Salcombe on hols this year. Do I
a) cover up with swimsuit?
b) buy tankini and assume it won't ride up to reveal muffin top?
c) buy bikini and not care?

BTW I always put shorts or a kaftan thing on if I'm walking around. This is for sunbathing, sitting playing on beach with ds etc

enjoy your holiday ....... where what you feel comfortable in. you will not be the fatest ,uglyest person on the beach/pool i should know i am a size 18 and i wear bikinis on the beach, at the end of the day how many people on the beach will actully know you.

Buy a bikini. Life's too short to fret what other people might think. You can always wear a sarong tied round your middle if you feel really self conscious. That's what I do.

I'm having the same dilemma. going to majorca in two weeks and look okayish but have that wrinkly belly look going on. I've tried tankini before but found myself constantly tugging down the top bit. It also looks worse with a roll sticking out between the top and bottom. I've opted for bikini but with a few nice short sarongs and swim skirt thing. I've also bought a halter neck, short crochet beach dress to pop over the top when necessary.

Enjoy your hols

even Giselle doesn't look like Giselle in real life

Definitely would prefer a bikini, I think, but last wore one when I was 4 months pg and spent the whole time on the beach with my shorts over the top. Silly really. I guess with one year old ds I'm not likely to be sunbathing much anyway, so will probably have a sarong over the top most of the time anyway

I go to Salcombe every year and for the last 15 (I'm 33) no one takes any notice of me anyway as too busy oggling the 6ft 16 years giselle like Jack Wills models that hang out down there!!
definitely think those smocks are great plus tracksuit and hoody when it gets cool sometime.
