Advice on bridesmaid's dresses

hattiesmum · 18/04/2007 23:07

I'm getting married in 8 weeks (!!!!) and still haven't bought either a wedding dress or bridesmaid dresses! Does anyone know where I can buy REASONABLY priced bridesmaids dresses? The girls are 3,6,7 and 10. I don't mind spending a small fortune on the three year old (mine) but I don't want to bankrupt myself on the nieces! Ladies???

Kids Monsoon for your dd?

Next have got lovely ones and I bought my BM dresses from Monsoon and they were gorgeous.

Where will you get your wedding dress from?

MrsBadger · 19/04/2007 07:20

Next and BHS have some good ones that span that age range if you want them all dressed the same

more pretty dresses

Thanks everyone. I like the dresses in Next, very pretty and my kind of price range! Am hoping to go and get my dress on Monday, probably look at Debenhams and Monsoon. I've seeen a couple that I like there. My next dilemma; should I buy a smaller size in the hope that I will have lost enough weight by the big day or should I buy the size that fits now? Have been dieting for a week now (you can see we've been planning this wedding for a long time...not) but haven't lost so much as an ounce.

bhs bridemaids dresses

MrsBadger · 19/04/2007 11:04

buy both sizes, wear the one that fits best on the day and take the other back?

or buy the bigger one and have it taken in if it ends up being too big?

hattiesmum · 21/04/2007 21:47

Hmmm. Think I will buy the smaller one so I really HAVE to lose the weight. Maybe it will encourage me to stick to the diet. Have now lost a couple of pounds and I'm not starving at all. Honest.
