High quality British baby and toddler wear

Hey all.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me some really cool independent British baby and toddler wear brands? I'm looking for places where I can buy high-end clothing, sleepwear, footwear, accessories and bedding for my 3 year-old boy and newborn niece this Xmas. I've already come across a few well-known retailers like JoJo Maman Bebe, and am keen to get to know lesser-known but really trendy shops.

I look forward to hearing your recommendations!

Josephine.

I love Little Green Radicals -British, ethical, organic fabric, beautiful quality. Frugi is nice, if you like colourful clothes. Mama owl has a beautiful selection of clothes. Young Soles for shoes.

Why?
If you have a three year old have you not looked before?
(I think this thread is fishy.... you going to come back on in a few posts time recommending your own business under a different user name)

Hi Runningbutnotscared,

Up till now I've bought Alfie's (my 3 yo) clothes from the usual high street and department stores: M&S, John Lewis, Next, Mothercare etc. Now my husband has a better-paid job I'm looking to buy him some really nice, unique clothing.

Why be such a doubting Thomas?

Josephine

Runningbutnotscared that's a brilliant idea. I suspect OP is genuine but what a great way to get visibility as a small niche independent business. Now all I need to do is find a refurbished ISO container in Shoreditch to set up shop and watch my fully organic, vegan and ethical range of ironic hats fly out the window and make my fortune thanks to MN.

Joules, The Bonnie Mob, Jigsaw Junior, Mini Boden, Baby Boden and Johnnie B are some of my personal favs.

Josephine85 · 29/11/2017 16:17

Thanks Carol, they look lovely :)

Do you mesn unique, or do you mean expensive middle class yummy mummy... because imo that's what Joules, JoJo, MiniBoden etc are!

NameChange30 · 29/11/2017 16:25

Frugi
Little Green Radicals
Boden
Joules

All lovely and expensive!

InDubiousBattle · 29/11/2017 16:28

Toby Tiger is a nice one.

Signoritawhocansway · 29/11/2017 16:29

Boden and Joules and JoJo msy be British brands all right... but not British made. You're just paying over the odds for foreign goods!

Signoritawhocansway · 29/11/2017 16:37

Same with Frugi and Little Green Radicals... made overseas.

I know you didn't ask for clothing actually made in the UK, so I'll bow out now.

NameChange30 · 29/11/2017 16:51

There’s also Piccalilly

If you look at baby/kids clothes on the “ethical/eco” websites like Babipur you’ll find more expensive brands - not all British though (a few Swedish).

Elfie London for gorgeous traditional girls clothing.

Young Soles for shoes.

There's one I discovered recently who sell traditional coats made in England but the name escapes me right now so I'll come back once I remember.
