What did you wear on the morning of your wedding?

Just that, really. I don't want to be in one of those polyester "Bride" robes that are popular these days - it's freezing and I want to be warm!

As there will be some photos of "getting ready", I don't want to be slobbing around in a hoodie and trackies like I would on a morning at home.

What did you wear before getting into your wedding dress?

I wore a white cotton dress with a zip up the back. Made it easy to change and also to match the makeup.. plus I didn't want pictures of me in a bathrobe

Moose23ishungry · 26/11/2017 13:25

Mine was a summer wedding though!

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 26/11/2017 13:27

I have no memory of what I wore (jammies and a dressing gown, probably) but I didn't have photos taken until I was dressed. Do you really want someone snapping away as you get ready?Confused

Triskaidekaphilia · 26/11/2017 13:35

Black and white short pyjamas. But it was beginning of September so quite warm. If it was in winter I would have probably got some nice new fleecy pyjamas.

CaptainCallisto · 26/11/2017 13:38

I didn't have any pictures done before I was dressed, but my sister wore a long, baggy cotton blouse (grey with little sparrows so quite nice) over leggings.

She wanted to be comfy but look dressed in the pictures! Also, the buttons on the blouse meant she could get it on and off without going over her head after she'd had her hair and makeup done.

Hippadippadation · 26/11/2017 14:07

I slobbed. I wore a zip up hoody style top, so I could take it off without ruining my hair and trackies.

A dressing gown with a polar bear on it

therealreason · 26/11/2017 14:11

I wore nice pyjamas and a Ted Baker dressing gown. I love my getting ready photos Smile

isittheholidaysyet · 26/11/2017 14:17

Slobbed around in my Pj's.

(About 20 people staying at my parents house with me. Including some in a tent in the garden. One bathroom...)

1Wanda1 · 26/11/2017 14:19

I like the idea of some nice new PJs. Might see if I can find some in the Black Friday Sales while they're still on. Excuse for a little treat to myself. Where's nice for PJs?

I have absolutely no idea. Probably jeans and a T-shirt to go to the hairdresser. I didn't get married until 3pm.

gingerclementine · 26/11/2017 14:27

White Company for nice PJs or look up some pure silk ones online.

For really comfortable cotton stretch jersey (super cheap) PJs - Primark are unbeatable.

PugwallsSummer · 26/11/2017 14:56

A lovely pair of white cotton pyjamas. I love my getting ready Photos. I had such a pampering relaxed morning, it was one of the highlights of the day

DarthMaiden · 26/11/2017 16:47

A really pretty white cotton nightdress and matching dressing gown.

JoJoSM2 · 26/11/2017 16:51

A big white fluffy dressing gown.

MarmiteandToast · 26/11/2017 16:53

I think the Bride robes are lovely but for a warmer one I'm sure I've seen fluffy white Bride dressing gowns? (Or even a normal white one?)

YesThisIsMe · 26/11/2017 16:53

If you’re getting pjs then button up shirt style tops rather than t shirt is best if you’re going to get your hair and face done while still wearing them.

blueskyinmarch · 26/11/2017 16:55

I had on a pair of jeans with holes in them and an old shirt of my grandads so i could take it off easily and my hair wouldn't get mussed up after i had been at the hairdressers.
