Would you please help me find an alternative?

It needs to be warm, bottle green or navy blue, and not drown me as I'm short. Budget up to £300.
Thank you!!

This is pretty fabulous.

Might not be for everyone though Smile.

Shopgirl1 · 26/11/2017 10:21

That maxmara coat is amazing, do you think they may reduce in the sales? I got an Isabel marant coat with 50% off a few years ago - and sales are getting near now.

Mince314 · 26/11/2017 10:33

It looks expensive and I do like it. I hope you don't get a lot of posts telling you that there is similar in Florence and Fred Grin as happened recently under a post for an 850 pound Burburry coat!

I think it's a bit unstructured for a short person. If you're carrying a bit of extra weight though then it might be the most flattering cut. If you're slim I think you could do yourself more favours in a more fitted coat. I am also on the look out for the coat of my dreams and I think it's worth paying more for the coat that really is the coat of your dreams.

I've never seen an AstroTurf coat before!

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 26/11/2017 10:37

I love that faux fur coat Jesus 😍

Nanasueathome · 26/11/2017 10:38

Sign up for their website
I’m almost certain they do have a really good sale so you need to wait until it’s reduced
Their coats are gorgeous

applecharlotte · 26/11/2017 10:38

Oh I love that!

Girlsworld92 · 26/11/2017 10:38

That outnet coat is gorgeous. Hubby just told me I don’t need another coat. I would disagree 😀

Nanasueathome · 26/11/2017 10:39

They have Max Mara in selfridges
SELFCCE gives 20% off at the moment

BarchesterFlowers · 26/11/2017 10:40

If you can wait for the sales I would. I have got a max Mara coat that I bought in 2000 and it is still beautiful -It is having a year off this year because I am too fat for it after a dodgy year health wise but i will bring it back into service.

P.s. I love the cost you have linked to.

Brillenbar · 26/11/2017 10:44

I would wait until mid Jan and the buy this www.brora.co.uk/shop/boucle-tweed-coat In the sale

BarchesterFlowers · 26/11/2017 10:47

I have got this in brown from last year - nice coat, doesn’t have the same impact as your green one though.

This coat from & other stories is very similar but you may need to get it taken in for height but you'd have the budget for it. But like others have said, I'd try and see if you can get the MM at a discount. I've seen the Stories coat in RL and it's lovely enough but without seeing the MM I know it simply won't compare as I know how those alpaca coats of theirs look with their lustrous sheen, you can't get that at high street prices and it sounds like you've lost your heart to it already. I'd either go for something completely different at your price point that you do love or wait out an offer, a substitute never feels as right iyswim.
