What brands are 'cool' for teenage boys please?

My DS is nearly 14 and for the last couple of years has lived in anything with a big brand logo spread across it. So Nike tracksuits, Adidas hoodies etc 😒 He's recently moved school and on a non uniform day felt out of place as the other boys were all in skinny jeans and discreetly branded tops whilst he was in head to toe Nike with logos all over the place. Being a typical teenager, he just wants to look like every other boy but I don't know where to start after shopping exclusively in sports shops for him in recent years. Any ideas anyone?

I agree with Lynette, our friends live about 100 miles from us now and our youngest ds's are only 2 days apart in age, but they have completely different clothing styles, and completely different ideas about what's "cool" to wear.
My ds is happy in jeans from anywhere but has Lyle & Scott sweatshirts, Fred Perry, and a little bit of Superdry and Jack Wills. His favourite trainers are either Adidas gazelles or Converse - same for all his friends, the multi coloured pile of shoes in the hall when they all come over is very funny!
Her ds (and all his friends) prefer much baggier jeans, adidas or Lacoste tops, and Nike air max trainers.
Friend and I were remarking on our last visit how different the groups of boys dressed.

Thanks everyone, there's lots of ideas for me to have a look at. I'll also get my DS on the case to see what the others are wearing. It was so much easier (& cheaper!) when I could pick all his clothes from mini boden 😄

My ds13 has gone a bit emo recently. Its head to toe black, overgrown hair under a black beanie and he likes Vans, Superdry for hoodies, Nike boot style/high top type trainers, super skinny jeans.
He had a few long sleeve tops from kings will dream that he wore to death.

Go designer on tops and jumpers only, jeans really don’t get noticed
Try tkmaxx men’s section for size Xs, they have loads of Ralph Lauren, moschino, nicce, superdry, French connection, dkny etc, my (very slim) 15yo ds fits an Xs men’s perfectly and luckily they always have the really small and extra large sizes in stock :) zee&co do a great sale section too and for £10 a year you get unlimited free delivery, I got a full Hugo boss tracksuit from there for under £80 recently
