Bootleg jeans - in or out?

..of fashion that is...not tucked into boots!
I'm in my mid 30s and grew up looking nice in bootleg jeans however I've recently come to the realisation I don't think they suit me as much now. What jeans look good on a size 12 hour glass 5 ft 7 post children body?! I don't want to be wearing 'mum jeans'!

Bootcut have been out since about 2006! But if you like them wear them. I used to like boot cut with a small kitten heel. Straight leg are a nice more modern alternative. The flats never really made the comeback anticipated 2 years ago.

Primark super skinny jeans (£9-12 depending on colour / fabric - some are more twill than denim) are the best in my opinion, and they are the ones that dd and all her friends buy. I think skinny jeans can suit anyone. It’s all about what you wear them with. I’m a size 14-16 and I wouldn’t wear anything that didn’t cover my bottom with them - I buy very lots of long sleeved tops to layer with and then buy very oversized jumpers - if I like one I go for the largest size they have (so being a size 14 dress size I would go for a size 18-20 jumper). I then wear with Chelsea boots or even doc martens or new balance trainers if I need to do a lot of walking.

Dd and her friends wear everything cropped - so they wear their skinnies with cropped jumpers and anything longer than their waist gets tucked in! Shock But then they are 14/15/16 and I am 37. Grin
