Gourmand Perfumes

I love gourmand fragrances, and I'm looking for maybe some suggestions on some others that I might try and that if others wear gourmand fragrances (sweet smelling perfumes) and can recommend any that they like.

I absolutely love Prada Candy. Its my signature. Its smells so nice and Caramel-y. I stopped wearing for a while and remember now how much I missed it. It is obscenely expensive though so I buy from a website who makes exact dupes for a much lower price and it's beautiful. I also like Fantasy by Britney Spears.

Any recommendations for perfumes like Prada Candy? Maybe with a distinctive Caramel note? Would really appreciate any suggestions.

Shay and Blue, Salt Caramel.
Omnia, Madera.

AlyTab · 30/11/2017 15:11

Thank you everyone for the great suggestions! I have been thinking about bonbon, but I will definitely get the dupe version that is about 1/10th of the price and lasts much longer!

Femme is more of a chypre than a gourmand.

MortifiedinAsda · 30/11/2017 15:37

Can anyone link to the dupe sites for these perfumes please? Tia!

palmfronds · 30/11/2017 15:43

Definitely Laura Mercier! Her Creme Brulee and Marrons Glacé scents are to die for, so delicious (though I haven't seen them recently so don't know if discontinued?)

I have always loved Lancome Poeme. I just love its smell and been using it for nearly 20 years. Star

AlyTab · 30/11/2017 16:07

MortifiedinAsda Perfume Parlour is where I get a lot of my perfumes from in case anyone else was wondering too

Agree laura merciers gourmand range, the amber and vanilla is gorgeous. I use the body soufflé not the perfume, the scent lasts all day with thr body soufflé. The perfume I don’t like as much. People constantly ask me what I’m wearing.

It’s expensive but it lasts for ages.

Ps the creme brûlée I find a bit stale milky on me, and I don’t like it. The amber vanilla better but in the same ilk. She’s a full gourmand range.

Angel Eau Sucree by Mugler is divine. Definitely Gourmand. You would love it.

AlyTab · 01/12/2017 16:25

Thank you very much everyone, and PolkaDottyRose ooh I want to try that I've heard good things about it, hope it's not too much like the original though for some reason I'm just not a fan

I can't stand the original either, but this one is really lovely, and the new one Aura is gorgeous too, different opening, but again a sweet finish.

IslingtonLou · 02/12/2017 00:39

OP, try Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy GOLD - it’s very intense caramel apparently. I think you’d enjoy it. It’s highly regarded and I keep hearing about it! Not expensive either

AlyTab · 02/12/2017 11:12

That's sounds gorgeous actually, I've only tried viva la juicy noir, which is really fruity and I like it but I do like the more vanilla and Caramel scents for everyday wear. Thank you for the recommendation!

Thank you again Polka, I will definitely give this one a go too, I really like the sound of them compared to the original angel

Try 'Girl of Now' by Elie Saab. It really is gorgeous - all vanillary. I got some as a present and was surprised by how much I loved it. My usual favourites are la vie est belle, prada candy florale, alien, if that helps.

VanessaBet · 02/12/2017 14:24

Marc Jacobs decadence is my latest favourite, usually wear Angel. I also wear Coach Poppy, if you haven't tried that

KatharinaRosalie · 02/12/2017 15:35

I have the BonBon, love it. Not cheap, but really gourmand and last for ever: www.comptoir-sud-pacifique.com/produit-comptoir/produit-fragrance/famille-olfactive/gourmand.html

They sell samples as well. I have the vanilla, coco and cacao that I mix

StatelessPrincess · 02/12/2017 16:50

My favourite gourmand is Cara by Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561 it's gorgeous and sounds like exactly what you want.
Parfumerie Generale by Pierre Guillaume is also very good for gourmands, Cadjmere is sweet and lovely, for something a bit different but still delicious smelling I love Musc Maori which I think smells a bit like chocolate orange and Aomassai which is sort of like nutty chocolaty coffee. Not cheap sorry, but so worth it Smile

AstridWhite · 02/12/2017 16:52

I don't think all gourmands are necessarily sweet, they just feature notes that are normally associated with food.

I think you might like Jo Malone's Blue Agave and Cacao. It's deliciously warm and spicy, a little bit sweet and chocolatey.

AlyTab · 02/12/2017 21:35

AstridWhite True, I just want to smell like a bakery Smile

Wish by Chopard is a nice and not too expensive gourmand. I also really like Penhaligon's Equinox Bloom, which is a fairly new gourmand, but it's pricey.
