Product for dark under eye circles

Can anyone recommend a product for these? I've splashed £££s this month on various skincare as I'm looking old (people are beginning to comment!) but after studying my bare face earlier I've noticed really, really dark circles - under my eyes and round the socket up to my eyelid. They are purplish, almost as if I have black eyes!

Before I start, I'm 54 (but have ok skin, that I'm told looks a lot younger).
I wandered past the Chanel counter recently; the assistant asked me if I'd try their brightening cream for my under-eyes.
She told me that concealing/using foundation was a big mistake as it 'sits' in the creases, making you look older and more tired.
She took the concealer off one of my under-eyes and replaced it with their brightening product. It was amazing. It was also £130+ for a tiny pot.
Both she and I knew I wasn't getting my purse out!
I bought the Olay brightening cream, in a twisty-type tube. It's ok, but not as good as Chanel.

I use a bare minerals product. It’s called strobe of light. Like PP suggests , it’s a brightening product rather than a concealer. I think it definitely helps

Iwould - I've recently started using Bare Minerals BareSkin foundation, which I love.
I'll have a look for that brightening product. Thanks.

I used the ordinary caffeine stuff but it was incredibly drying, so have switched to caudalie premier cru.

Do you drink much water op? Boring as it is, it usually works.

I use a highlighting pen, a little goes a long way and I personally find them more flattering than normal concealers.

Just to let you know that the Trish McEvoy eye lift is not as good as they say, so don't bother.

Benefit Erase Paste.

Awesome stuff.

BusterGonad · 21/11/2017 18:39

I think I need to try erase paste. Sounds like crackin stuff!

Bobbi brown corrector is good, the downside is that there are dozens of colours so it can be a faff to find the right one. It does work though. You might need concealer on top.

Having said all that, I pretty much can't be arsed anymore, I use s bit of foundation on my dark circles and carry on.

Thank you to those recommending Maybelline age rewind neutralizer. Bought it yesterday and wow, it's fab! Making me feel sooooo much better about my bags....until I can afford tear trough fillers!
