Help! Wedding jacket malarky

PregnantGrrrl · 17/04/2007 14:08

Have bought another wedding dress due to my er...condition. The dress is fab- £40 new from ebay, and tis perfect.

BUT the jacket i had for my previous dress is ivory, and doesn't go with the new one, which is more white.

I need a three quarter sleeve 'something' (jacket, cardi, shrug summat!) to cover my arms. The dress is strapless and plain satin.

Any ideas? I don't like the really structured bolero things with high collars (yurch!)

Please help- wedding in less than 8 weeks.

you need Jacqui's Bridal - shrugs / wraps / boleros in every fabric, colour and size - I rather like the organza ones but the velvet looks lovely and soft and less stiff than satin.

i'm not sure

am flailing in the dark till you describe the dress / look!

PregnantGrrrl · 17/04/2007 14:37

dress is floor length, strapless, no netting or skirts, sort of straight to the floor.

i'm never going to find the right thing

I got a wide satin wrap made by a local wedding shop (as got married in October). Why not do that?

PetitFilou1 · 17/04/2007 15:31

Sorry, local wedding DRESS shop I mean

PregnantGrrrl · 17/04/2007 15:34

i might have to i think. i can sell my old dress and make a profit as this one was so cheap.

god, even simple little weddings get so complicated!

You sound really stressed. Don't be. Remember it is the getting married bit that counts more than anything! And a shop could knock you up a wrap in no time. I got married in 5 months and had the full works, 120 people and we organised and paid for most of it ourselves. You still have two months - that is BAGS of time!

PregnantGrrrl · 17/04/2007 17:17

just realised it's 6wks!

i'm alright- family bollocks rearing it's head re: wedding today, but i've decided to ignore it. we're paying for it, we say what happens!
