OK - what size and shape are you? Good bits, bad bits, favourite colours, and budget? Is it the church bit of the wedding, or the reception (or both)?

southeastastra · 17/04/2007 13:02

wedding and reception. i am a size 12/14, 5ft 6 and have a boyish figure i suppose. i'm very pale too but like a bit of colour. i have no idea what to look for.

its ok to wear black to a wedding nowadays

JackieNo · 17/04/2007 13:03

So you will probably need something to cover your shoulders/arms if the dress doesn't do that, I guess (even if it's just a shrug/scarf or a cardigan?). Hmm - will look...

MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 13:03

You can wear black if the dress is suitable in every other aspect and you accessorise carefully, but really there's no need to wear a dress if you don't want to - skirt and top or smart trous v acceptable these days.

But answer all Jackie's qs and we'll do our best...

MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 13:04

what colour hair have you?
do pale colours wash you out?

southeastastra · 17/04/2007 13:06

i have some really nice jones shoes that i'd like to wear they're a bit like this but red.

i don't really want to spend tons of money on a dress if i can help it!

JackieNo · 17/04/2007 13:23

Or how about this ? When you say 'boyish' does that mean 'can get away without wearing a bra' (because that would make that spotty one easier)?

MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 13:24
