Basically I don't wanna look Wag-tastic! I'm pale skinned and just want something to give a subtle glow. There are so bloody many of 'em I don't know where to start. Any advice appreciated.

Have you tried the Johnsons body lotion ? They do 2 shades and the lighter one would probably be perfect for you.

nailpolish · 17/04/2007 12:57

try the johnstons holiday skin for starters

thats what i use

if i cant be arsed and its just for a night out (dont want to wear tights,e tc) i use st t ropez bronzing mist

ScottishThistle · 17/04/2007 12:57

Loreal nutri summer for fair skin is very subtle!

AnnabelCaramel · 17/04/2007 12:58

Sit in a bath of cold tea. No milk or sugar

ScottishThistle · 17/04/2007 12:58

Forgot to add I've tried them all & Loreal nutri summer is fantastic & smells less offensive.

Croaky · 17/04/2007 17:44

Oooh actually forgot...I do have a bottle of that Johnsons stuff somewhere, must give it a go. Ta ladies.

I have been doing the dove one recently and it's not the best one ever, but one tip from here, which I have never used before was to use gloves. I used latex gloves and I have no streaks at all. Fab tip whoever posted it.

Ponce · 17/04/2007 17:51

really?
that is interesting

Ponce · 17/04/2007 17:51

they came up on an offer at tesco and i coudlnt work out WHO si buying htem!

mosschops30 · 17/04/2007 17:55

yep loads of moisturiser and latex gloves (get someone who works in the local hospital to steal you a box )

St Tropez is the way to go, I just do it once for a nice subtle glow, twice for a bit more tan and 3 times for wag-tastic tan. The mousse is excellent and I never end up with streaks

UCM · 17/04/2007 17:56

Yes, it's the first time I haven't had streaks ever!

Dove a bit orangy though, I need a browner one. Recommendations please.

UCM · 17/04/2007 17:56

Well it werent' me I nick them from work.

turquoise · 17/04/2007 17:57

Johnsons comes out yellow on me and gave me a rash. St Tropez do a daily moisturiser one which is brilliant, and I just do a quick fake bake now and agian to bring it up darker on my legs.

amidaiwish · 17/04/2007 19:00

Lancome Magic Mousse one is good, i am fair skinned and it is the best one for me.

Aefondkiss · 17/04/2007 22:43

I have the palmers cocoa butter one, bit like the johnson one, but I have only just started using it, so reserving judgement
