I don't know how to deal with this. It's been creeping up over a couple of years, I was tiny for a while running and swimming almost daily healthy diet, had an accident and lost my mojo have long term illness and chronic pain but had almost overcome the symptoms accident put me right back to rock bottom again and since then have put on a couple of stone, doesn't sound much but I'm five feet tall (small) with massive joint/skeletal issues as well as fibromyalgia and each extra kilo is a killer in terms of pain and fatigue
I do not know how to get myself slim and fit again. I'm in permanent pain, excruciating pain despite my pain meds and I struggle to walk, my local swimming baths closed Down and the next nearest is miles away, I don't drive so used to cycle everywhere but this is now impossible.
I had a goodhonest look at my body today and I'm sad to say it absolutely repulsed me.
I'm mid 40s and on hrt so weight loss will not come easy to me.
I try super hard to eat healthy but low mood and permanent exhaustion make it easy to give in.
I'm trying to do KonMari method on my home but really struggling with clothes: NONE of my winter stuff fits. I don't want to buy new as that's acknowledging what an ugly lump I've become but at the same time it's not nice to squeeze myself into tight sausage skin clothes anymore.
I'm so paranoid what people must be saying about me.
I can't afford gym (single mum mortgage etc)
Please help and please forgive my denigrating self talk, that's just the mood I'm in today Sad

I was going to say that exercise is the key - not because exercising brings about much if any weight loss but because firstly you really can't eat while you are doing it, so if you exercise at times you are susceptible to snacking it is win win. Secondly you get a bit of a sense of achievement as you get stronger and fitter and lastly those lovely endorphins kick in and raise the spirits a bit. Early this year I had a very dodgy ankle and I did actually fall flat on my face in an embarrassing way when I was in London for work. Now I do yoga and practice the standing positions every morning my ankle is back to full strength. As for my weight loss I'm just so pleased I did BSD, apart form everything else my food just tastes amazing now.

Ugh and another thing! All my bras are too small and I'm now sporting quadraboob!
I have been for a long walk and even tried a hill (killed me)
Bought loads veg & eggs and avocado. Have been toying with veganism as my little sister lost about two stone as a vegan from carnivore but she's much younger and fit and super motivated.
All the women in my family are tall strong and glam. I'm the only shortarse and I have scoliosis which just makes the difference all pronounced.
(Un)Fortunately I'm estranged from my most of my fam and the rest love in another part of the country so at least I'm not comparing myself to them all the time but with social media it's hard not to see them posing in various states of undress with amazing figures!
It's always hard for me introducing new bfs to them, they're naturally super flirty and men are normally blown away by them when we go out. I can't help but feel unfavourably compared to them and always think my partner must be thinking he chose the wrong sister!
Ridiculous and immature I know Confused
Anyway... I am considering home highlighting my hair as can't afford hairdresser, does anyone have this experience? On curly hair?
Am shattered now after walking but need to tidy.
Tomorrow will consider brows and nails.

I’m with kleptrnic the weight loss with high fat low carbs is brilliant

TatterdemalionAspie · 16/11/2017 22:32

Can't imagine starving yourself for 2 days a week would help.

Maybe reading about the many health benefits of intermittent fasting would fuel your imagination, randomer.

So sorry you're having such a hard time. I recommend a Fitbit for boosting motivation! Might be some good black Friday discounts (I'm keeping an eye out for one for my sister), or maybe you could ask for one for Christmas? I use it along with the My Fitness Pal app - having to put what I eat into an app and get electronic tellings-off is surprisingly effective.

Jellyheadbang · 17/11/2017 17:13

Well did not do brows and nails but did work, cut a hedge down and do some shopping!
Wore a nice outfit and got compliments and was told I'm 'glowing' by friends, they presumed I'd been shagging the ex again but I haven't, must be the day of healthy waiting yesterday!
Got the nail varnishes out & plan to dye my roots tonight or in the morning, am flat out now on the sofa.

So am I.

I keep moaning about it, but seem incapable of doing anything about it. I don't really want to go down the road of waiting until the new year, either.

OP I have loads of clothes and a box of mixed sizes. My weight goes up and down like a musical scale. I'm generally an 18-22. PM me and I can send you something if you like. Flowers

SweetFox · 22/11/2017 18:12

Here’s my advice, try to cleanse your body of parasites. It often helps. I was cleansing my body with doctor parell. You can also try creams, such as nivele. It helped me to lose weight.

littlebillie · 22/11/2017 22:35

Tidylike it’s been noted fitness tracks prices have been inflated for Black Friday check that a bargain is really a bargain

Jellyheadbang · 22/11/2017 23:50

SweetFox thanks for your response.
I have not heard of this at all, please can you tell me more?
