my birkenstocks have almost died. what should i get to replace them for summer this year?

very very comfy shoes. great for trudging round everywhere. but i think the cork is fallling out the sides. so what shoul di replace with?
heard lots about crocs, but the fact that they are made of plastic worries me. i like the natural materials better as i feel feet can breath in them
footglove, [yuck]. do not like the look of them.

ther is always that, just thought of a change in style. ive lost lots of weight recently and look younger than before. so though maybe there is something out there, 'younger'
