Tell me about your slippers!

Seriously my feet are sodding freezing since my last pair of slippers gave out (ballet flats from BHS, ha!)

I need slippers which:

  • have a hard sole so I can go outside in them
  • come in a 3/36
  • have backs, so not clogs.

Cosy feet also a priority.

Any recommendations?

Ugg loafer style ones. On their third year, still as fluffy, warm and comfy as ever after daily wear. I’m also a size 3.

Crocs

Sorry

Primark espadrilles do not sound in the least bit toasty!

Half an inch of straw between my feet and the floor is perfectly sufficient insulation and I don't like having feet that are too hot so a thin canvas top is fine. I'd potter about in my socks at work if that wasn't frowned upon!

Don't buy Mahabis.
I got taken in by the hype and forked out for a pair. The soles are a PITA to take on and off. The backs don't stay up and the felt doles wear through really quickly. Complete waste of money.
Another vote here for hard soled Moshulus. They're cosy, comfy, warm and last for ages.

Have a look at the kids' section of Homeys. The designs are much nicer than the women's and obviously cheaper.

I bought a pair a couple of months ago and my feet are happy feet this winter.

Just a word of warning on the Homeys when I first tried mine on I was a little worried they felt narrow. After a few wears they shaped perfectly to my feet and now they are essentially my second skin Smile

What's the sizing like on the moshulu slippers as I'm normally between a 6 and a 6.5 . Will they give a bit and become to roomy of l go for the 6.5 or are they a bit on the snug side? Thanks x

Hippadippadation · 15/11/2017 18:24

My Moshulus have fallen apart in a year.

The best ones I ever had were actually from M&S and I want more this year! They were this style www.marksandspencer.com/striped-moccasin-slippers/p/p60114820?image=SD_01_T02_5659_K4_X_EC_90&color=CREAMMIX&prevPage=plp&pdpredirect They lasted ages.

I always buy those ones too Hippa they seem to do them every year & I'm about to invest in my third pair

I have John Lewis wool mules for first thing in the morning/getting out of the shower, but the rest of the time I wear Ugg boots in the house.
