Underpinnings for broderie anglaise dress?

I just bought a dark brown broderie anglaise dress in Tesco - but it obviously needs something underneath to prevent the peepshow effect - was thinking a slip perhaps but in a nice colour - has anybody got any ideas where I might find something? The dress was only £16 but not such a bargain if I can't wear it. Thanks guys.

YOu don't want a nude effect one then?

M&S do nude ones in various lengths, shoestring straps like this

M&S do flesh-coloured microfibre slips thus , also in black if you prefer. Not seen a brown one recently though...

H&M and primark have really nice slips. I think they are meant as night dresses but work anyway!
Go for a tight lycra one to avoid adding any bulk to the lines of the dress.
H&M have a fab shoe string one in white and black or bright colours, including turquoise, which would be pretty great under a brown dress.

but if it's a summer dress think how hot a clingy lycra slip could make it... hence the repeated recommendations of the M&S Coolmax one

or try peacocks if you have them nr you

Thanks guys - love the idea of turquoise. Haven't got a H&M near us but will try the others. I thought of nude but thought maybe a contrasting colour would be fun.
