Shoes to go with a chocolate brown dress?

I’ve got a lovely knee length chocolate brown satin dress I want to wear to a wedding but I don’t have shoes yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to spend a lot because they won’t be worn much.

I have wore chocolate brown with gold shoes to a wedding, I wore peep toe. Are these clarks ones too clunky?

My other thought is leopard print.

I'd look for shoes in other autumnal colours (wine, navy, purple) or maybe a warm gold, but without seeing the dress it's hard to know what style of shoe. Are you a heels person or a flats person?

Sorry, I should have thought about a picture. It’s very dark brown, fitted with cap sleeves and quite low cut in a classy way. I’m not at home tonight but I can post a picture tomorrow-I can’t find one online.

I like those Wallis ones. Definitely more heels than flats for going out, gold might be perfect.
